Does anyone know how to keep the onion powder or garlic powder from tasting gritty?

I'm sorry I missed this…

If it's gritty then it's obviously not dissolving. I would heat the sauce and stir (with a wire wisk) until you know the ingredients are disolved. The wire wisk will also add air, and kind of give a emulsifying effect, so be careful on how fast and how long.
