 I am brand new to low and slow bbq ing and does anyone have a beginner recipe and ccook time/temp for a small pork butt?

4.5 pounds.

Welcome..

I almost feel like I failed in some way, I have written several articles that were aimed at you. Well, not you specifically, but the new BBQ'er.

Start at  the bottom (you will want the rub recipe from it), then the article just above that (part 2). Then, go to the article at the top (Cooking Pork). On this link, are just parts of the article, to see the whole article, just click on the title.


In these articles you will make your rub, learn a bit about your cooker, then learn how to cook pork (boston butt). Let me know if you have questions.
