Hello Everyone and Congratulations to the HomeBBQ team for their FBA Triple Crown.
I have never been to a BBQ competition/cookoff/festival etc. I plan to make up for that in the new year.
I live in NE Florida and have been to the FBA contest website and will be going to a couple next year.
My question is; What is there for someone who is not competing to do? Can I talk to the teams? Can I taste some of their product? Are there events or seminars/classes for someone who is just learning BBQ?

We appreciate the congrats!
To your question, it really depends on the event as to what there is for the spectator to do. For the BBQ enthusiast its a chance to talk to some pro's and learn some things, and usually if you get to know a team you will likely get a chance to sample some of their que.

Sorry for not replying sooner. Been busy with Christmas stuff. Ironic that today I now have a little time while waiting for family to arrive
It sounds like going to a comp can be a good learning experience.
Thanks for the invite Justin. Is that the Boots N BBQ cookoff in February? I will have to check my work schedule and will get back to you.

Yes, that is the one just let me know I'll be breaking in a new smoker at this contest also. It's going to be fun I'll introduce you around to some of the teams.
