I am looking at possibly buying a mobile smoker (something that would feed 150-200). Does anyone have any opinions or testimonials about the mobile gear you use? What to look for? What to avoid? What features are a must have?

hmm… several factors to consider.. The main one would be budget..

But, if your talking approx 100 lbs of meat, several cookers are capable of doing that. I would consider buying a trailer and looking at the following;

FEC 100, 2 of them if it's more than 100lbs. or I think you can get the FEC 300 on a trailer

Another interesting cooker is from Stump's Smokers, and that is the stretch, or get the Platinum on a trailer.

Or from Lang..

Lang 84 would easily do that, or even the Lang 60 if you work it right.

This is just a start..

Lately I have been looking at off-set smokers built on a trailor.  The ones I have been looking at closely are pits by Klose or Gator pits (Both vendors are out of Houston) 24″ x 60″
