I am looking for a 55 gallon drum to make a smoker out of. Does anyone know what sort of thickness to go for? Is .9mm to thin for a vertical style drum smoker? Thanks.

Hey

Sorry about the delay… Did you get your smoker done?

I think the standard steel drum, didn't realize they made them at different thicknesses. But I don't think it really matters. Though the thicker, the better it will be at holding heat.
