went to the SCBA judging school and found what could be the future of judging…after 115 contests the perfect score is 17 for the category yes 17 and  you  can use an eraser to change scores so you have to think as a judge and compare  all entrees so you really get the best score possible for the teams…and if you score too low and don't adjust your scores they will use the table captains scores yes thats right he/she also scores the entree and if needed it will be used and your scores are thrown out if the scores are out of line with the other judges….this is a really cool way of scoring and has been really thought out and is what i think after 12 years of judging (probably more ) and 10 contests cooking with a few teams and by myself..I find that this is a super  way to go and probably the fairest judging system I have found.I have judged MBN,KCBS,FBA and as soon as possible SCBA and also National Barbecue News contest( for 5 years ) …BBQ FOOL   gregg snyder
